Terms of Service

Preamble

By creating a chasify account, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. Do not use chasify if you do not agree to these terms.

"You" refers to you as a natural person or an authorized representative of an organization.

2. Registration & account

Chasify is intended for users who are at least 14 years old. If you are under the legal age in your jurisdiction to enter into a binding contract, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and approved these terms on your behalf.

To use chasify, you must create an account. Registration requires no personal identifiers - authentication is handled exclusively via Passkeys. You are responsible for maintaining control over your Passkey and for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Use of the service

By using chasify, you agree to use it only for its intended purpose. The following uses are not permitted:

• Automating or scripting requests in a way that places disproportionate load on the infrastructure
• Attempting to gain unauthorized access to data belonging to other users or to systems not intended for you
• Scanning or testing the vulnerability of systems or networks without explicit permission
• Reproducing, copying, or commercially exploiting any part of chasify without prior written consent
• Uploading content or files that are likely to damage or impair chasify's software or infrastructure

Game conduct & safety

Chasify is a location-based game played in the real world. You are solely responsible for your own safety and the safety of those around you during any game session. By participating in a game, you acknowledge the following:

• You are physically fit and capable of participating in the activity.
• You will always respect local laws, traffic rules, and private property.
• You will not enter restricted areas, trespass, or behave in a way that endangers yourself or others.

Game hosts are responsible for ensuring that the area chosen for a game session is safe and appropriate for all participants. chasify provides the platform and infrastructure only - we have no control over where or how individual games are organized.

User-generated content

You retain ownership of any content you create within chasify, including game sessions, custom game zones, and any other content associated with your account.

By using chasify, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your content to the extent necessary to operate and provide the service - for example, to render game replays or show statistics to participants of the same game.

You are responsible for all content you submit. Content that violates these terms, infringes third-party rights, or is otherwise objectionable may be removed at our discretion. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly or severely violate these terms.

Warranty & disclaimer

Chasify provides its services in good faith, however errors or inaccuracies may exist. The service is provided "as is" and without any guarantee. We are not liable for:

• The accuracy or reliability of GPS data, game events, or statistics displayed in the app
• Interruptions, downtime, or errors in the service
• Loss of data due to technical defects or human error
• Any injury, damage, or loss arising from participation in a game

Chasify does not guarantee that the service will meet your expectations, that it will be available at all times, or that defects will be corrected.

Account termination

You can delete your chasify account at any time in the account settings. Deleting your account is equivalent to canceling your use of the service. Your account data and all directly associated information will be removed from the database immediately after deletion. Residual data may remain in encrypted backups for up to 30 days before being purged in the next scheduled rotation.

Game session data that has been shared with other participants - such as replays or statistics visible to your team - may continue to exist within those game records after your account is deleted, as this data is associated with the game session rather than your account alone.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these terms or engage in conduct that harms other users or the integrity of the service.

Applicable law

German law applies exclusively to the use of chasify.
